Neoprene and Liners

Constructed out of TechnoButter 4 and TechnoButter 4x, the Hyperfreak Fire is more flexible than ever. TechnoButter 4 and TechnoButter 4x have integrated recycled graphene into the jersey to increase the warmth and strength of the material. Graphene absorbs and retains your body heat to create a “thermal feedback loop” to keep you warmer for longer.

The Hyperfreak Fire is lined with TB4 Firewall similar to what was found in the prior Pyschotech model but with added recycled graphene fibers. The TB4 Firewall makes the Hyperfreak significantly warmer than previous versions resulting in ultimate flexibility and warmth.

Seams and Stitching

The Hyperfreak Fire utilizes glued and blindstitched seams to keep the suit flexible and durable. New for fall 22’, the Hyperfreak Fire has exterior fluid seam welds complimenting the GBS seams. Exterior fluid seam weld works to increase the seal and durability of the suit. With the seam weld and glued and blindstitched seams working together, you can count on the Hyperfreak Fire to perform in even colder conditions than the standard Hyperfreak model.

When first looking at the Hyperfreak Fire, some would think the suit would be less flexible with the seam weld. The all-new Hyperfreak Fire remains more flexible than the previous models of Hyperfreak with the help of the TB4 and TBX used in the panels. The externally sealed seams are found on all thicknesses of the Hyperfreak Fire and will keep the suit noticeably more watertight throughout your sessions.

Fit and Cut

Like all of the O'Neill wetsuit models, the Hyperfreak Fire fits true to the O’Neill size chart. The materials used in the suit are very stretchy, so if you are in between sizes, we recommend that you size down. O’Neill created the Hyperfreak Fire with larger panels so that the materials could form and fit more effectively. This is good news for those with larger shoulders.

The TB4X and TB4 used in the arms and shoulders of the suit will allow for greater comfort and mobility. The added stretch assists in the entry and exit of the suit as well. The Hyperfreak Fire remains sealed along the wrists and ankles using segmented 3D seals keeping water out and the suit properly fitted.

Entry and Zipper

The O’Neill Hyperfreak fire comes in two variations of entry. The chest zip version is outfitted with O’Neill’s F.U.Z.E. entry which stands for front upper zipper entry. The F.U.Z.E. entry has a free-floating zipper panel over a 360-degree barrier that works to keep water from flushing the suit and has strategically placed drain holes to allow water that does make it through to drain quickly. The F.U.Z.E. entry is zipped together with a durable zipper that doesn’t require threading before zipping it closed.

The back zip version sports O’Neill’s Z.E.N. zip closure. The Z.E.N. zip entry works by placing an anti-flush barrier between the free-floating durable zipper and the wearer, ensuring a comfortable fit. The anti-flush barrier extends up the back and pulls over the wearer’s head to create an effective seal around the neck and zipper. This entry has drain holes to keep you lighter and dryer.

Performance

The Hyperfreak Fire continues the legacy of the Hyperfreak as being one of the stretchiest suits on the market. The all-new TB4 and TBX have the stretch and buttery feel that surpasses their competitors. During your sessions, you can feel how stretchy and unrestrictive the materials used in the suit are and how much warmth the integrated graphene provides. The Hyperfreak Fire will allow you to forget about what suit you are wearing and focus on catching more waves.

Value and Durability

With great features and exceptional performance, the Hyperfreak Fire is a suit that provides excellent value for the price. With next-level stretch, a toasty warm liner, and watertight seam weld, the Hyperfreak Fire provides competition-level performance. New for this year, the added graphene within the TB4 and TB4X create more durable and resilient materials to make the Hyperfreak Fire last longer than previous renditions.
