Introducing Buell Wetsuits

Introducing Buell Wetsuits

Cleanline is stoked to announce that we are now carrying Buell Wetsuits online and in both the Seaside and Cannon Beach Stores. Buell is the brainchild of wetsuit industry vet Ryan Buell who has been designing wetsuits since the 90’s.

Buell RB2 Beast

After a successful tenure at Hotline, creating suits for some of the best surfers (Peter Mel, Flea, Shawn Barron etc.) to come out of Santa Cruz, and innovating the wetsuit game with the introduction of the Slant Zip chest entry, Buell has started from the ground up and created a wetsuit company all his own.

By first making some prototypes in his garage, he was able to work out the details and create a buzz around Buell organically. After designing suits for Volcom, Oakley as well as surfers like Dane Reynolds, Dusty Payne, and Bruce Irons, Buell has now released a full line of suits and accessories.

You can definitely see the creative influence that Buell has brought from some of the superhero wetsuits he designed at Hotline for Shawn “Barney” Barron to his line of suits, with eyeballs on the hoods, smiley faces on the insides of the knees and their own unique “Rubber Bones” suit.

However, once you get down to it, Buell’s suits aren't messing around and pack in just about as much value as you can for the money. These suits are light, flexible and have fluid seam welds over the stitching. We’re carrying both the 5/4 and 4/3mm hooded versions of the RB2 Beast suits (Check back for a coming review) as well as the 4mm booties.

These suits have a lot of high end features, but without a crazy marketing budget, can be had at a cost well below some of the competition. If you're looking for something new or just want a good suit at an affordable price point, check 'em out!
