Taylor Jensen Series TJ Pro Helium Timbertek Surfboard

Bringing his experience and expertise to the design table, Taylor Jensen has made a perfect contest board in the Taylor Jensen Series Surfboards TJ Pro TimberTek Surfboard. Using the input from two-time World Longboard Champion Taylor Jensen Firewire was able to create a board with slightly more aggressive bottom contours and a touch more kick in the tail than the stock 9'0 TJ Everyday. The TJ Pro will go vertical while still maximizing the fun of cruising on a longer board.

Helium Core Technology

The Firewire Helium technology is a stringerless 1.0 lb EPS foam core with flex controlled with rails made from Paulownia and Balsa wood, running the complete length from nose to tail, combined with a 3mm proprietary aerospace composite deck skin.

The wood rails enable a lively flex in the rail that gives a loaded-up, spring-back feeling, and the deck skins make your board feel this way for a long time.

Helium deck skins are beneficial for both durability and performance - and have a memory that will rebound back to form after being compressed, making it very responsive in addition to keeping your deck surface pristine for many years.

Made from one of the fastest-growing trees in the world, Paulownia, Timbertek technology is one of the lowest CO2-emitting constructions available - making it your most sustainable surfboard constructions in production today. This species of tree grows up to twenty feet in a single year, and has the nickname, 'The Phoneix Tree,' because when they're cut down, they regenerate incredibly quickly from existing root systems. It's also incredibly durable and nearly impossible to dent, extending the life of your board.

Timbertek Construction
The Firewire Timbertek lamination schedule is a 3mm Paulownia wood deck skin that wraps a Helium core, capped with a single 4 oz layer of fiberglass cloth on the deck and bottom.

Timbertek Core Capability
Timbertek lamination is paired with a Helium core with one minor difference. Rather than a 3mm aerospace composite deck skin, it's core has a 3mm veneer paulownia wood deck skin.
