Billabong Furnace 5/4 Hooded Chest Zip Wetsuit - 2020

I wear an XL Rip Curl Dawn Patrol 4/3 Chest Zip, and the size L Billabong Furnace 5/4 is a near-perfect fit for me. First time putting it on was fairly challenging, but it has more give now. Lining is warm but not too warm, there's occasional minor flushing but this keeps me comfy for hours in sub 50-degree water. Works well for paddling (bodyboarding).

This is a very warm wetsuit, even for a 5mm. The liner is plush and lux, kinda like the FlashBomb lining. There is a pull over neck baffle similar to those found in non hooded suits. The zipper requires threading if the zipper car before sipping up. The hood is very thick but fits well. The suit goes from being near impossible to get on first try to medium easy after 5 or 10 sessions. There is very little flushing (a little up thru the ankle cuffs occasionally). Bought as a dawn patrol use suit to be used in the cold early morning when the offshores are cranking. I prefer a 4/3 hooded suit for mid day / warmer time of year. Seems to be holding up, but time will tell. I would recommend this suit for 50 and below, but probably 45 to 40 degree water ideally. I am 5’11” 169lb 32” waist 31” inseam and the fit is slightly snug. I wear a medium in O’Neill and ML Xcel fits me the best of all suits. Flexibility is average for paddling and average for surfing. Rubber around neck could be thinner. I would recommend this suit.
