Rip Curl Flashbomb Heatseeker 3/2 Zip Free Wetsuit - 2019

Best wetsuit I've owned so far. I'm using it for kitesurfing – the large smooth panels on the back, shoulders and arms are perfect for wind sports, haven't seen that in any other suit yet. Definitely as warm as a regular 4/3. Also heard about many returns because of opening seams, but not having any problems so far after one winter of use (and they give 3 years of warranty anyway). Maybe not as super stretchy as some other neoprenes (e.g. O'Neill) but still good, and robust. Only the outside seam tape is cracking and falling off, but still waterproof so far. Am happy to carry this suit through with some regular Aquasure because it is so warm and comfortable.

Suit fits well, is very warm, but the neoprene on the back and shoulders is completely disintegrating after 5 months, and not it's leaking. Purchased late Dec, and started noticing problems in mid-April. Not happy to spend $400 and have this happen. I guess RipCurl will replace it since it's totally falling apart, but I shouldn't have to even bother with sending it in and waiting.

I called and spoke with one of the Cleanliness staff--very personable and candid. I was forewarned that the Heat Seeker had the highest number of returns (sleeve and shoulder tears). However, I've had > 8 Rip Curl zipper-less suits and know how to contort my body through the straitjacket upper body section with no tears or rips.

I wanted warmth (I'm lean and lose heat like a sieve when I get wet) and the greatest flexibility (to prolong endurance and paddling power for cold and heavy sessions). I wanted a 3/2 that would do that all winter long here in south Orange County, California. So far, I'm smitten by the comfort, warmth, and supple flexibility; the neck is so soft and sealing against the spinal tap of a cold water rush. THE BEST SUIT I'VE EVER HAD. Period. I bought the Flashbomb 3/2 last year and loved it.
Every year i get a new 3/2 and a 7/6/5 suit and thought i would
try the new Flashbomb again for my thinner suit.
I was not let down! The new model is just as comfortable
and warm as last years. Actually, it is more warm, as it has
the fleece lining in the arms unlike last years model.
Spend the few extra dollars if you want to stay warm above
or under the water, you won't be disappointed.
Cleanline staff is incredible. Have been buying 2-3 suits from them
for over 5 years and have no complaints. They always take the time to answer questions and they always have the suit in stock that i need.
And of course the goodies they pack in the boxes is a nice touch.
Although, they did send me a small shirt this time when i buy medium
wetsuits which was kind of weird.
Will be back for sure!
