Who You Are
You are self-motivated, hardworking, and proactive with a positive attitude. You are a team player and ready to do your job autonomously as well as work with others to accomplish tasks. You have a history working in eCommerce, Warehouses, and Shipping and have a strong understanding of shipping software, carriers, packing materials, logistics, and more. You aren’t easily overwhelmed and can stay organized while tackling large tasks. You are technically inclined and aren’t afraid to customize our shipping automation software and processes. You love finding ways to save money through better shipping processes and you audit shipping invoices regularly to make sure the outcomes are what you expect.
Job Requirements
- Work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8am to 4pm
- 2 years of eCommerce Shipping Experience
- 2 years of Management Experience
- Excellent troubleshooting, online research, and cross referencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- Positive, upbeat attitude
Job Responsibilities
- Pull items at warehouse, follow up with retail locations and report sold out items
- Pack orders in an accurate & timely manner with the highest level of customer service
- Screen orders pre-shipment to ensure they are ready for label creation
- Create/print shipping labels - determine if the label can be pre-printed, or if a packing slip needs to be printed instead
- Weigh & measure packages that only had a packing slip printed, print shipping labels and attach to package
- Maintain shipping automation by auditing shipments and working with the appropriate people to adjust dimensions and weights of products in our catalog
- Troubleshoot shipworks errors created during the shipping process
- Keep workspace organized and clean
- Ensure all outgoing items are properly scanned out of the POS
- Perform daily checks to prevent miss ships
- Communicate with customer service any issues that arise
- Provide shipping quotes for other departments when needed
- Ensure shipment of expedited orders in a timely manner
- Orders supplies (take inventory of supplies in shipping room, requests from retail)
- Routinely audit shipping carrier invoices
- Manage relationships with shipping carriers
- Communicate effectively and engage with team in Slack channels
