Michael Says:
"Patagonia has been building Yulex wetsuits for some time now and the Regulator is by far the best iteration. The Regulator leveled up on flexibility and durability compared to the older Yulex. I wear this as my everyday suit, and it has held up great. At 6’1”, 180lbs, I wear a Medium Tall in almost every brand, but I have not worn a suit that fits as well as this one. The recycled nylon liner is warm and comfortable in our cold PNW conditions. With Patagonia’s Ironclad Guarantee, I am stoked to have a comfortable, eco-friendly wetsuit that will last much longer than other suits in the industry."

Patagonia Ironclad Guarantee
We stand behind everything we make, including our wetsuits. But wetsuits
require care if they are going to perform and wear the way they were
intended. Patagonia is not responsible for wetsuits that are abused or show
normal wear and tear over time. Scratches and fading are inevitable, as are
tears from the occasional close call with a fin.
Wetsuit Care Guideline:
Rinse your wetsuit with fresh water after every use.
After rinsing, fold in half at waist and hang dry.
Do not store it wet, or in direct sunlight.
Suit up carefully. We've selected high-stretch materials for their
comfort and function. Avoid overstretching fabric and seams. Do not step
on one leg to pull the other leg out.
If possible, change in a plastic tub or on a mat
Our wetsuit warranty does not cover upgrading your older Patagonia wetsuit
to a current model. We are continuously improving our designs and materials,
but that doesn't make your existing wetsuit unsatisfactory. It just means
that the next one you buy will be even better than the last.

Great fit, plenty of stretch, warm for Oregon surf
I bought this Patagonia hooded R3 after wearing an O'Neil Mutant 4.5/3.5 mil for years and also trying the Billabong Natural Furnace 4/3 hooded. At 6’3” 180ish pounds the Large Tall fits great, when the Billabong felt a little too big and was not as warm. This has been warm in a handful of Oregon surfs since buying earlier this summer (when the water can be the coldest of the year). Often not needing the hood up on warmer days. I’m sure I’ll need it up on cooler fall/ winter days. It stretches well, while feeling snug but not too tight. The zipper is easy to zip. The key string, which I use most times out is a little thick for threading through a small key hole, but is doable. It’s still a wetsuit, so I won’t come off as easy of a pair of shorts after a strenuous surf, but that’s just nature of wetsuits. The price is higher than most but the natural Yulex definitely works well and it has the lifetime guarantee which is a nice piece of mind. Dries about the same amount of time as other wetsuits I’ve had. If you’re on the fence, i say go for it.
