The Seaside in Helium Technology by Rob Machado is a best-selling shape, and one of the best grovelers you'll ever get your hands on. Rob thinks of this model as a cross between a shortboard and a fish - it's a slimmed down version of Rob's Too Fish, but built as a Quad to offer a bit more performance and control.

This shape was pivotal in Rob's shaping journey, surfing and hanging around Cardiff-by-the-Sea more often, Rob's goal became unlocking fun in small waves—the more speed you can get without using a ton of effort, the better. The Seaside became Rob’s one-board-quiver: the one board he’d bring on a surf trip to anywhere in the world and be stoked.

The Firewire Seaside Helium Surfboard is a revolutionized design from the Go Fish and offers more control with a less skatey feel. Still super fun nonetheless and meant to be ridden as a hi-performance surfboard in a range of conditions, this fish is known for catching small waves and paddles well thanks to the width up front. The Firewire Seaside is meant to be ridden as a quad.

Board Features
One of Firewire's most popular outlines, this shape is inviting, fun and forgiving, with plenty of paddle power. Updated from the Go Fish, it has less area in the tail, narrowed tops of the swallow, creating more curve and a narrowed nose.

The wood rails enable a lively flex in the rail that gives a loaded-up, spring-back feeling, and the deck skins make your board feel this way for a long time.
