Product Construction
Polyurethane/Polyester Resin
Building a board in PU means using a Polyurethane foam blank and glassing it with polyester (PE) resin . This is how the majority of today’s surfboards are built. It is not a new way to make a board, but the materials are very stable, strong, consistent, and easy to work with. Many surfers prefer the feel of PU boards because that is what they have ridden all their lives, and because they feel really good.
Additional Info
Cleanline Surfboards crafted by Bing represent a shared commitment to quality, performance, and design. Hand-shaped by master shaper Matt Calvani in Encinitas, California, these boards bring together Cleanline's Pacific Northwest surf heritage with Bing's iconic legacy in California surf culture. Founded in 1959, Bing Surfboards helped define the golden era of surfing, with legendary shapers like Donald Takayama and Dick Brewer. Cleanline, established in 1980 on the Oregon Coast, has remained the Northwest's original surf shop – independently owned, community-driven, and focused on offering top-tier surf gear. This partnership celebrates craftsmanship, history, and a deep connection to West Coast surfing.
