Polyurethane/Polyester Resin
Building a board in PU means using a Polyurethane foam blank and glassing it with polyester (PE) resin . This is how the majority of today’s surfboards are built. It is not a new way to make a board, but the materials are very stable, strong, consistent, and easy to work with. Many surfers prefer the feel of PU boards because that is what they have ridden all their lives, and because they feel really good.

It was designed for anybody looking for a longboard that can handle steep pockety sections in addition to smaller days with less power.
Back in the 60’s, my father had a surfboard model by Hansen surfboards called the Derringer, and now after his passing I wanted to bring back the name of this board as an homage to him for teaching me everything I know about surfing."- Miguel Sinclair
