When the time comes, challenge your skills in waves of consequence with the Pyzel Padillac Surfboard. Built as progressive big wave gun, the Padillac was derived from Mark Healey and John Pyzel's efforts to stroke into larger waves in the cleanest, most simple way. The result has been a successive wave of wins. The Padillac is the board used by John John Florence to win the 2016 Eddie contest, Billy Kemper to win the 2015 and 2016 Jaws contest, and Mark Healey to win the Billabong 2014 XXL Biggest Paddle Award. Like the name implies, this board is built to paddle fast and easy, with extra thickness and a fuller outline than most standard guns so you can catch and ride bigger waves with confidence and ease.

The Padillac has a clean, flowing rocker, and a light vee bottom with double concaves to give you speed and quick turning, while still maintaining control in heavy surf. It comes as a quad, for both speed and maneuverability, and can handle anything the ocean throws at you. Made in sizes between 6’10” and 10'6”, the Padillac is a great board for deeper water waves like Sunset, Cloudbreak, Puerto Escondido, Ocean Beach, or anywhere else that gets big and heavy. It is also a great choice for bigger surfers looking for a controlled, easy feel in all types of waves. The Padillac is the board you want to be riding on those liquid monsters so you know you're equipped with the right gear.

PU Construction

Building a board in PU/PE means using a Polyurethane foam blank and glassing it with polyester resin. This is how the majority of today’s surfboards are built. It is not a new way to make a board, but the materials are very stable, strong, consistent, and easy to work with. Many surfers prefer the feel of PU/PE boards because that is what they have ridden all their lives and because they feel really good. At Pyzel Surfboards they use only the best foam blanks, highest quality fiberglass, and resin, and hire the best craftsmen they can find. The result is light, tight and white high performance, reasonably priced boards that look beautiful and work great too.
