Josh Says:

My surf boot of choice for the last ten years has been the O'Neill round toe Heat. It fits like a glove and is more like a slipper than a heavy bulky boot. It has toe and heel caps for durability and fluid taped seams to keep water out and give more strength and longevity to the seam. It has a firewall lining which makes it warmer and very easy to get on and off. I am so confident in this boot that I put 150 pairs into our rental fleet this year alone. I've worn a lot of boots but this is my personal favorite!

The O'Neill Heat 7mm Round Toe Boots free you from the cold so you can focus on the waves, not your feet. These coldwater booties are built with soft, FluidFlex Neoprene and deliver all the features you need for solid performance with O'Neill's quality craftsmanship to ensure a long life of serotonin filled sessions. Offering plenty of warmth, a secure yet comfortable fit and superb durability, the Heat Boots are perfect for any surfer spending hours chasing those sumptuous cold water peaks.

O'Neill Heat 7mm Round Toe Boots 3rd pair, that's how much I like themReview by Bob Bob
Boots are very warm, I'm on my 3rd pair. Early spring water 33° in Michigan. And on the other end late fall into the winter, ( if you can find open water ). Bottom line, if your going into a cold environment ( 33° water temps ) these booties work great

O'Neill Heat 7mm Round Toe Boots Cold Water, Warm FeetReview by Shawn W Shawn W
I stand up paddle as long as I can into the winter season in Park City, Utah. If the water temperature stays around 34-36 in the winter then the lake does not freeze over, however, that is fairly cold water sloshing around my feet. i have only used the booties once this winter and the water temperature was around 45 degrees. I paired it with a thin bootie liner sock and my feet could not be happier unless they were submerged in tropical water.

They take some getting used to since they are so thick but I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were. They did not make my feet feel more tired like thicker wetsuit material tends to do. The booties sealed up nicely and exceeded my expectations.

The rear loop looks like it is installed really well but I suspect if that loop ever failed it would be nearly impossible to get that thick of a bootie past your ankle.

The size fit as I would have expected. I typically wear a size 11.5 men's and I purchased a size 12. With the thin liner sock I have just the right amount of room. It looks like the lake will freeze this year so the back country ski gear is is loaded in the car.

Thanks to the Cleanline crew, they provided a great product and awesome service!

O'Neill Heat 7mm Round Toe Boots New England Surfer / Total WussReview by Chad Chad
I am skinny. 5'11" 145lb. I hate cold. But I love NE surf and do it all winter. It's not recommended because hot water is bad for tape, but I will soak my booties and gloves to saturate with warm water (body temp) then put them on and hit the water. I spent three hours in the water in February one day in a 6/5/4 flashbomb suit, flashbomb 7/5 mitts and these very booties. 3 hours is a long time when the water temp is 37 and air temp is 7-degrees on my car thermometer, nevermind wind chill.

I have been wearing these boots for two seasons and love them (when it is super cold I wear 1mm watersox with them). I'm now a diehard cold weather guy and nobody knows that when I get home I pour the boots and gloves out and the water is 98.6! I'm not kidding.

So they break down after three or four years... I'm ok with that. Given how warm. Yes. Water gets in slowly (when you start dry). But it is very slow and totally manageable. In fact, the water is what keeps you warm. Otherwise, without water for your body to heat up, the 38 degree force of nature OUTSIDE the bootie is going to win the battle. It always does.

O'Neill Heat 7mm Round Toe Boots Great fit and water tightReview by Great Booties Great Booties
These booties are best I have ever had. I wear size 14 and they are just a bit big which is really good. The 7 mm eliminates the cold at 55 degrees. The cinch is well designed and did not allow any water into the booties.

O'Neill Heat 7mm Round Toe Boots leaked at ankle velcro stitchingReview by poester poester
Test fitted in bathtub. They filled with water with in 30 seconds (made in China). Water level was to ankle bone. The inside Glue and tape were missing in spots. Called Cleanline and 5 minutes later the crew had a pair of Quicksilver Highline 7mm. They are leak free.
