JS Industries JS Monsta 8 HYFI Squash Tail Surfboard
The JS Monsta 8 HYFI Squash Tail Surfboard is a high-performance all-rounder, improved and fine-tuned by the entire Traktor Team. 8 years after the original Monsta built its reputation as a go-to for surfers around the world, from WSL podiums to everyday sessions and annual Indo trips, the Monsta 8 is the result of nearly a decade’s worth of R&D.
First, the rocker has been tweaked to have slightly more curve in both the nose and tail. The last two inches of nose rocker have been lifted to prevent catching in quality waves, while the adjustments to the tail curve provide extra release. Concaves have been deepened through the fins creating more speed and removing drag while maintaining maximum control. The outline also has a more pronounced hip, allowing for quicker, more responsive direction changes. The Monsta 8 prompts intuitive, fast and flowing surfing, and has an outline to match.

Hybrid Fiber Diamond
The technology behind JS's Hybrid Fiber Diamond construction was pulled from a variety of high impact, long-lasting boardsport manufacturing techniques. The development team started with the most flexible base they could imagine, an EPS core with no stringer, and from there began the painstaking process of balancing strength, weight, and flex. The goal with HyFi was to create an ultra-high performance board that would go the distance, even at professional level contest weight.
Rigorously tested with the JS team, it took an exact combination of materials, layering processes, and exclusive construction techniques to create the incredibly durable exoskeleton we now know as HyFi. The result is more spring, more speed, and more acceleration. Precision engineered to be faster, stronger and lighter than anything else out there Hybrid Fiber Diamond is pushing the limits of modern surfboard technology. HyFi, welcome to the future.
