The predecessor to the 4A, this template is important. Conceived in the early ‘70s, a direct descendent from the original Stage 4 that swept the surfing world. We offer this fin to be used as you see fit. Reports have come in with a wide range of applications. We just say this is one of the most classic, fundamental designs or a single fin longboard…ever!!

- True Ames Fins 9.5'' Greenough 4C - Rotten Avacado Mimicking NatureReview by Tom Grenfell Tom Grenfell
RatingNot as much drive as his 4A, but pivots around turns quicker and won't outrun the pocket on less powerful waves. The trick is finding the right placement in the box. I prefer to ride this fin just up from center on most of my boards. Of coarse it only comes in a 9.5 size, so it really works best on a single fin longboard unless you have a retro hull or egg shape. It does flex and load up a bit on hard turns, but not as much as other flex fins I've used. The foil is not as thinned out. Check out The Morning of the Earth on DVD and get psyched.(Posted on 1/19/2016) 2016-01-19
