As we mentioned in a previous blog post, Kepa Acero is leaving to Antarctica to scout out surf spots, and become the first European to surf on the continent. The photo above was posted on Kepa’s Facebook yesterday. Wearing his Patagonia R4 Wetsuit in water under 2 Degrees Celcius. Seems like insanity, but then again, the R4 is the warmest suit on the planet. Here is a video/interview of them departing. You can follow Kepa at his Facebook Page, or on his YouTube Channel.
Bud Freitas talks about his love of surfing, and the enjoyment he gets out of teaching the up and coming rippers through his surf school.

We are proud to announce that we have the honor and privilege of receiving the very first shipment of Lib Tech Surfboards! The shop was buzzing with excitement when Mike Olson and the Lib Tech crew rolled up with our board order. We can’t wait to get out in the water on these new boards, they look and feel like nothing else out there. SICK! At this time we are working to get the boards shoppable on the website, but in the meantime anyone can call to order. We have already sold two boards in two hours so don’t hesitate as availability is going to be minimal for a bit as Lib Tech is working hard to get more boards made.
Work definitely came to a stand still for some time when the Lib Tech convoy rolled into our parking lot and curious employees hurried out to get a glimpse of the new boards. It was pretty awesome to see Mike Olson, who used to work for Cleanline back in the day, hand Josh a board signed by all the Lib Tech crew. Check out some of the pictures, and if you need more we have them over at our Facebook Page.
Lib Tech has finally completed the surf/skate/snow trifecta, and boards are currently awaiting shipment. We have a big order written up for the new Lib Tech Surfboards. Coming early June, get stoked!
WE WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT SURFBOARDS!
Each of the 31 pieces used to construct our surfboards are new materials to the surf industry. 30 years experience crafting and riding high performance environmentally friendly composite surf, skate and snowboards went into designing our unique Waterboard process, materials, and shapes. Each fused homogenous surf structure is handcrafted in the USA with a focus on performance and environmentally friendly manufacturing and materials. Only the stainless steel fin screws remain the same. Waterboarding is now fun and healthy.
We will have our boards up on our Lib Tech Surfboards page as soon as they get here.
