ESPN.com just came out with the most in depth article on Lib Tech Surfboards to date.  Checkout the article, there are some pictures of Josh and Mike, and a brief mention that Cleanline Surf Shop was the first to receive the boards.  Stoked!

From ESPN.com

After more than three decades spent refining an eco-alternative to the traditional high performance surfboard, Mike Olson and Lib Tech have officially announced the release of their long-anticipated line of surfboards: Lib Tech Waterboards.

Lib Tech is highly regarded in the snowboard and skateboard industries for its environmental board building practices and original, artistic board designs, but the company’s roots are actually in surfing. It is a little-known fact that Mike Olson, co-founder of Lib Tech, generated a large portion of the original funds he used to finance his early snowboard projects by shaping and selling surfboards in the Pacific Northwest in the late 70s and early 80s. Unhappy with the toxicity of the materials used to create surfboards, Olson set out to find alternatives.

Used Surfboards Now Available Online

Check out our Used Surfboards page on the website!  Now you can browse our used and consignment boards in the shop, have them shipped to you, or pick them up in store.  At this time we have about 15 out of the 100 or so boards in the store up on the site, and we’re adding more daily so check back soon.  For now we are not allowing online checkout, so we are asking you to call to place orders for used boards. This is because we want to make sure you know what you are getting.  Because the boards are used they come in a variety of conditions, which we want to tell you first hand, that way you know what you’re getting.

At this time because we don’t have everything up on the website, feel free to call and ask what we have in stock that isn’t showing online.  If you’re in the area, stop into our shop in Seaside and browse the boards on the rack.  We’re stoked to get these up there, and hope we can get you a good deal on a used surfboard!
