True Ames Fins - 9.75'' George Greenough 4A - Bamboo

These fins are 75% bamboo. They have a center “stringer” laminate for some impact resistance and 2 layers of glass on the outer skin. They are super light, about 45% lighter than a normal glass fin.

The benefits are we have a fin that uses the grain of the wood for optimum flex. These fins have a really nice flex! But one of the problems is they are more fragile than a solid glass fin. They will suffer from rock impact. They also can “ding” and could absorb water. We have offered these fins in a limited quantity as these fins are still in the testing stages.
