The following Summer Series models are JS’s most current and reputable small wave models. The Summer series commits itself to gaining the most out of small to average conditions allowing more days in the water.
The “Pier Pony” is by far the most directional small wave board ever released by JS. Specifically built for really weak and boring waves, the Pier Pony will make those lousy surf days a whole lot of fun. The constant flow of Vee running from the nose entry through to the tail compliments the flattest rocker in the JS range. This vee creates quick transitions from rail to rail enabling you to gather speed through the weakest and flattest sections. JS has left a lot of volume throughout the board with a flat deck and full rail, making sure you are hovering over every section and avoiding any bog down time. It might sound extreme but we recommend you ride this board 8- 10 inches shorter than norm.
RAIL TYPE - Pier Pony has a safe and forgiving medium rail type.
WAVE HEIGHT - The Pier Pony is for the smallest of smallest days.
FIN TYPE - Pier pony comes with 5 plugs for a large range of fin options. Most of the team prefer it best as a quad.
FLAT EXIT ROCKER - Flat exit rocker is good for maintaining speed. Performs well in medium sized surf and can handle hard fast turns.
FLAT ENTRY ROCKER - Flat entry rocker is best rocker for creating speed and glide. Suits small weak conditions.
CONCAVE - Slight vee creates amazing rail to rail capabilities and also straightens the rail line for speed - good for small waves. Vee double concave under feet creates slight lift reducing drag.
