The following Hi Performance models are the most up to date, highly refined and tested board designs in the JS range. Used by many of the worlds top surfers in competition to get the absolute most out of good to medium conditions.
“MONSTA” model has proven itself to be the new age Pro model ridden by Bruce Irons, Julian Wilson and Dusty Payne along with many of the world’s best WCT surfers throughout 2011. MONSTA is the all round short board built to cope with a large variety of conditions from clean and small to junky and solid. The entry is flatter than a normal pro model with a deep single concave running into a deep double concave through the fins. The monsta tail rocker provides a lot more tail release coming out of the lip. Monsta is specifically built to work with the futuristic moves being executed daily by the best new school surfers in the world. The flat entry creates instant acceleration and more momentum between turns. The rails are fuller and the general outline is wider than previous short boards. JS recommends that you ride this board 1- 2 inches shorter than normal pro models.
RAIL TYPE - MONSTA has higher volume performance rail.
WAVE HEIGHT - Depending on fins and conditions, MONSTA is designed to perform best in average to above average waves from 2 - 6 feet.
FIN TYPE - MONSTA comes stock and is recommended as a thruster. Alternative setups are available with custom orders.
MEDIUM EXIT ROCKER - Is a comfortable balance between drive and release. Suits largest range of conditions
SLIGHT ENTRY ROCKER - Best rocker for creating speed and glide in small to average conditions.
CONCAVE - Single concave starts in the nose to direct water under your feet for lift and speed. Double concave starts in front of fins wich maintains lift and directs water release for maneuverability.
