FLEXFLIGHT’S are true hi-performance longboards, incorporating the increased dampening and squirt through turns as a result of CROSSFIRE Technology’s flex characteristics; which eliminate the chatter of a longer board while increasing overall speed, never mind the 30% weight saving and increased strength over regular "PU".
Crossfire is a hybrid technology, combining the bamboo deck skin of Rapidfire Technology on both the top and bottom decks with the Balsa Parabolic rails of Future Shapes Technology to control flex. The result is a durable, lightweight surfboard with great flex characteristics.

SURFBOARDS DO NOT QUALIFY FOR FREE SHIPPING. PLEASE READ OUR SURFBOARD SHIPPING SECTION FOR MORE DETAILS.
Please understand that because shipping a surfboard is different for each board, location and customer the shipping cost will vary from one order to the next. To account for this variable sometimes the full shipping amount will not be reflected in your checkout total. The balance of the shipping charge will be applied after the final quote has been verified and confirmed with both parties.

These boards perform well, however I just snapped mine in 3 ft surf so dont expect them to be as strong as you think.

Cleanline has been carrying Firewire Surfboards for about five years now. I remember when we first got them in, I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I was drawn to them by their unique construction without the traditional stringer, and instead the parabolic stringers along the rails. When we get a new line of surfboards in we pick a few out as demo boards for employees and customers to try out. One of these boards was the 9'0" Flexflight, which I had to try because I figured if I wanted to really notice the flex in these Firewire boards then a 9'0" would really show it with all its rail length. I grew up riding longboards and competing in contests througout Oregon, Washington, and California so I have experience riding many different longboards, and I figured I wouldn't be too suprised by this new board. However. Right out of the gate I noticed how well the board paddled and floated, which I know most epoxy boards do better because of their construction. When I paddled the board flowed through the water smooth and without chatter or stiffness, and when I got into my first wave I found the board actually has a very similar feel to a poly board, with lots of great flex and feel, minus the stiff rigidness or resistance of a composite epoxy board. When I drew my line of the bottom, and pulled up the face of the wave I could feel the flex and drive of the parabolic stringers right away. It has a very drivy feel off the main point of your turn, both bottom and top, which helps drive it through maneuvers, and around sections. The added float of the hand shaped epoxy makes it catch waves very easy and also makes it possible to have a good nose ride, even with a thinner board. It's also lighter weight and more damage resistant than a fiberglass board. Over all it's a very unique style board with a great ride and feel that's hard not to fall in love with, especially if you like a lonbgoard that will work in all conditions.
