The SUMMER SERIES is full of boards built to bring you some love in the worst of conditions. Its range is scaled to have you covered from 0-1 foot onshore to a little 2-3 arvo glass off, all offering great performance, speed, forgiveness and a hell of a good time. It's a range we have been working on for a while and although the boards in it could be called "fun boards" we take them quite seriously. A mile of testing and effort went in to make Summer Series the very best this year, cause like everyone else; we get our share of average conditions.
107 was the production code found on what everyone around the factory is calling the best small wave design to date. 107 was built and trialed by JS staff, several JS team riders and local rippers. In fact the board disappeared for 18 months and was finally located in Parko's garage recently. Parko had been nursing this puppy for over 1 year and he claimed that 107 was his all-time personal standout in small 1-2 feet conditions.
JS replicated this model recently and once again 107 proved to be a step above any small wave model in its path. 107 has all the fundamentals needed for small wave surfing. The nose is wide however still conventional. The single concave under the chest offers a large sweet spot before running into a deeper double concave throughout the fins backed up by a light vee coming out of the tail. The design intent revolves around catching waves easily, capturing speed quickly and maintaining speed throughout turns. The tail volume is reduced and the curve is pulled for tighter turn in the pocket.
RAIL TYPE - 107 has full rails, the best rail type to handle full sections
WAVE HEIGHT - Best suited to small fuller waves but can handle a good section or hollow pocket if needed. Especially fun in little rampie onshore conditions.
FIN TYPE - All stock 107 boards come with 5 fin set up for use as quad or thruster.
GLASSING - 4x2x4 up to 5'9, 4x4x4 from 5'10 up. All boards include the new Olefin fibre tail patch.
LITTLE ENTRY ROCKER - Will create drive and speed in small to average conditions.
LITTLE EXIT ROCKER - Best rocker for creating speed and glide in small to average conditions.
CONCAVE - The concave has all you would expect from a small wave design including single running from the nose to create lift to double under the feet that allows the water to displace correctly of the slight vee out the tail. This allows for easy turning while still giving the board maximum lift and speed.
